3 Steps to Clarity … i.e. your ideal growth zone

If everything starts with intention, what does intention start with? Well, Clarity.

When I was learning about not just the law of attraction, but the other universal laws (yes, there are others), it opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking.

And then, I got really fascinated with Vision Boards, to the point where I created a whole workshop after following a prescribed method that I learned from Coach Christine Kane.

In just 1 year I had manifested and realized 80% of my Vision Board! Here’s a little of what happened:

  • inspiring others through workshops, public speaking, courses, and programs
  • teaching yin yoga on the beach every week
  • living and working from where ever my heart desires, which has been by the sea with as much sun as possible – you guessed it, Spain!
  • getting in the best shape through a clean, toxic free lifestyle
  • building a 6-figure business with multiple revenue streams, while helping others get to their next level of success
  • hosting family and friends when they come to visit
  • running retreats that allow me to connect at a personal level
  • getting visible by appearing in Thrive, Medium, Euro Weekly News, and more
  • became a #1 best selling authors, having written and co-authored 2 books in the span of 6 months

It really has been a whirlwind which is why the topic of CLARITY is so important to me and is so central to what I do and how I help.

If you’re not clear on what you want, how do you expect to know where you’re going?

3 Steps to Clarity

Let’s get into what we talked about this week. I had the pleasure of co-hosting with Danielle Kean Grassi, Anxiety Strategist, who is such a beautiful soul.

The way we feel has a tremendous impact on how happy and fulfilled we feel in our lives.

When we feel joy, happiness and love, we feel in control, like we’re progressing and vice versa.

When we feel pain, sadness, anxiety or fear, we feel out of control, lost, foggy, not good enough even, and vice versa.

So what we focused on was helping you learn how to overcome these negative feelings so you can CREATE clarity and DEVELOP the confidence to take your life or business to the next level with a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset.

3 steps to your ideal growth zone

Step 1 – Harnessing Vulnerability

Brené Brown talks about vulnerability and shame because it has everything to do with our ability to step into our authentic self.

Let’s first explore what vulnerability is… It’s:

  • not needing to pretend to be stoic or “strong” in the face of life’s experiences.
  • not needing to keep yourself so busy that you fill up the space within you so much that you don’t end up truly experiencing or feeling your emotions.
  • allowing yourself to embody your core values and be who you are truly meant to be.

This process of opening yourself up and peeling back the layers, blocks, shields, however you want to label them, that you have built up is a process in and of itself.

It’s actually the first step of my 5 step system that I developed as part of my 6-month mentorship program because the sooner you embrace vulnerability as a means to self-growth, the sooner you can begin to live a more intentional life.

Vulnerability is the path to self-acceptance and self-love and embracing all of you – flaws, brilliance, emotions, weaknesses, beauty, and fears.

Step 2 – Holding your power

With vulnerability comes tremendous release, confidence… and power.

Neuropsychologist Mario Martinez writes in his book: The MindBody Code: How to Change the Beliefs that Limit Your Health, Longevity, and Success, “The wound you choose in order to interpret your pain becomes a shield of protection against forgiving, because releasing your grudge means being vulnerable again.”

It is when we embrace vulnerability rather than fearing it, that we can move from a fixed mindset to a mindset of growth because we’re no longer hiding behind a facade, we’ve stepped into our authentic self, our true self.

Taking it a step further, a fixed mindset is when you are stuck believing that your talents and abilities are static and that your value and self-esteem is defined by these skills.

You can see how one can develop and suffer from Imposter Syndrome – the natural genius for example that feels inadequate if they don’t get it right the first time, and with speed.

A growth mindset proposes that your abilities are fluid and ever-changing – it’s the journey, not the destination. This mindset allows you to be open to learning more skills, embracing more talents, and unleashing your natural abilities.

It’s like this understanding that there is always something to learn, and there are always new ways of doing things, and that’s ok. Innovation and Progression, which goes hand in hand with happiness.

Step 3 – Letting go

The last step to creating clarity and developing a growth mindset is about letting go.

Have you ever found yourself so upset with yourself because you went out of your way to be kind to someone and they didn’t even say thank you?!

Have you ever felt so afraid of being judged that you chose to hide rather than speak up at a meeting? and then someone else says your idea, and everyone loves it so you beat yourself up about it…

What is it that some people have that they can keep going no matter what?

I’ll tell you what it is… ready?… it’s certainty.

At the end of the day, you can have all the potential in the world, take all the action in the world, and get all the results you want, but if you don’t believe, if you don’t know why you do anything, well then my friends, something’s gotta give, and usually it’s you, giving up.

There’s a difference between quitting something you know is not working versus working at something you believe in.

Certainty is the key ingredient that keeps momentum going, but it comes from within. It comes from loving yourself enough to see it through because it’s everything to you, even if you fall 100 thousand times…

it’s what you learn from the results and it’s the desire, that certainty, that belief, that keeps you going in the times of struggle, no matter what anyone else thinks or says.

I really enjoyed this week and hope that you did too.

Until next time!
