4 How and why we use personal information

5 Marketing communications
We may send newsletters, resources, invitations and information about relevant services when you have consented or when another lawful direct-marketing basis applies. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. We may keep a minimal suppression record so that we can respect your request.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary messages about an enquiry, transaction, security matter or service you requested. We do not send marketing text messages unless you have provided any consent required for that channel.
6 Comments and public information
When you leave a comment, we collect the information shown in the comment form and technical information such as your IP address and browser user-agent string to support moderation, security and spam detection. Your name, comment, optional website and profile image may be visible publicly after approval. Your email address is not published through the standard comment form.
An anonymised string created from your email address, sometimes called a hash, may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Automattic’s privacy notice is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. If your comment is approved, the profile image associated with Gravatar may appear beside it.
Do not include confidential information or another person’s personal information in a public comment. You may ask us to review, anonymise or remove a comment, subject to applicable law and legitimate record-keeping needs.
7 Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and software development tools. We use or permit the following categories where they are enabled.
1. Strictly necessary and security technologies. These support core Website functions, form delivery, security, fraud and spam prevention, network management and administrator login. They do not require consent where the law recognises a strictly necessary exemption.
2. Preference and comment cookies. If you select the option to save your name, email address and website for future comments, WordPress stores those details in cookies for convenience, generally for one year. Administrator login and display cookies may also be set for authorised users.
3. Analytics technologies. Google Analytics helps us understand visits, content use and Website performance. It may use cookies and online identifiers and process technical and usage information. We use it only after consent where prior consent is required.
4. Advertising technologies. The Meta Pixel helps measure advertising, attribute visits or actions to campaigns, build or exclude audiences and improve advertising. Meta may combine information received through the Pixel with information it holds under its own terms. We use the Pixel only after consent where prior consent is required.
5. Embedded services. Solo Link forms and other embedded content may store or access information on your device and receive technical and interaction information. An embedded service may act as though you visited its website directly.
Where available, use the Website’s cookie preference control to accept, reject or change non-essential technologies. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Blocking some technologies may affect forms, preferences or other features. Consent choices are device and browser specific.
We may update the cookie list as our configuration changes. The cookie preference control or separate Cookie Policy should identify the active cookies, providers, purposes and durations.
8 Payments
Payments may be processed through Stripe or PayPal. The provider collects payment credentials and other information needed to authorise, prevent fraud, complete and record the transaction. It may act as an independent controller for some processing. Its privacy notice applies to information it collects directly. We receive transaction confirmations and limited details needed to fulfil the purchase, reconcile accounts, manage refunds and comply with tax and legal obligations.
9 How we disclose personal information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
- Hostinger and other hosting, security, backup and website infrastructure providers.
- Solo Link, GoHighLevel and related form, CRM, email, automation and communications providers.
- Google for Analytics and hosted services such as fonts, subject to the Website configuration and consent requirements.
- Meta for Pixel-based advertising measurement and audience functions, subject to the Website configuration and consent requirements.
- Stripe, PayPal, banks and payment-related providers for transactions, fraud prevention and financial records.
- Automattic for Gravatar and WordPress-related services where used.
- Professional advisers, contractors and service providers who need the information to perform services for us and who are subject to appropriate obligations.
- Courts, regulators, law enforcement or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security or legal claims.
- A purchaser, investor or successor in connection with a genuine proposed or completed business sale, restructuring or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
We do not sell personal information for money. The use of the Meta Pixel and similar advertising technology may be treated as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. Where such law applies, you may opt out through the Website’s cookie preferences, a recognised browser-based opt-out signal where required, or by contacting us.
10 International transfers
We are based in Canada and use providers that may process information in Canada, the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other countries. Privacy protections and government access rules can differ between countries.
Where European or United Kingdom transfer restrictions apply, we use an applicable adequacy decision, approved contractual protections such as standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for information about the relevant safeguard, subject to lawful confidentiality limits.
11 Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including to provide requested services, maintain security, respect marketing choices, meet tax and accounting duties, resolve disputes and establish or defend legal claims. The table in section 4 describes our general approach. A longer or shorter period may apply because of the nature of the information, a legal requirement, an active dispute, a security need or your valid request. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it as appropriate.
12 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved. These may include access controls, secure connections, service-provider controls, backups, updates and procedures for suspected incidents. No online system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
If a personal information breach occurs, we will investigate and give notices to affected individuals and regulators where required by applicable law.
13 Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have the right to ask us to provide access to personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information, restrict processing, transfer certain information, or explain how information has been used and disclosed. You may also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures, and withdraw consent.
We do not discriminate against a person for exercising a privacy right. Rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. An authorised agent may submit a request where local law permits, but we may require proof of authority and direct verification.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If European Economic Area or United Kingdom data protection law applies, your rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You may complain to the supervisory authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. If you are in Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos at https://www.aepd.es. United Kingdom residents may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk.
Canada
Canadian residents may request access to and correction of personal information and may challenge our compliance with applicable privacy law. Contact the Privacy Officer first so we can respond. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or an applicable provincial regulator.
United States and other locations
Residents of California and certain other United States jurisdictions may have rights to know, access, correct or delete information and to opt out of a sale, advertising-related sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling where the relevant law applies to our activities. You may also have a right to appeal a refusal. Residents elsewhere may have comparable rights under local law.
How to make a request
Email support@nataliaedelmann.com with the subject line Privacy Request and describe the request and the jurisdiction in which you live. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
14 Automated decision making
We do not currently use personal information collected through the Website to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Analytics and advertising platforms may create audiences, measurements or inferences, but we do not use those outputs to make such decisions about you.
15 Children
The Website is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the Website. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
16 Third-party websites and embedded content
The Website may link to or embed websites, videos, forms, social media, payment pages or other services operated by third parties. Their services may collect information, use cookies or monitor interactions in accordance with their own notices. We do not control their independent privacy practices. Review the relevant provider’s privacy notice before submitting information or changing privacy settings.
17 Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, providers or our practices. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
18 Contact and complaints
Questions, privacy requests and complaints should be sent to the Privacy Officer at support@nataliaedelmann.com. Please provide enough information for us to understand and respond to the issue, but do not send identity documents or sensitive information unless we ask for them through a suitable channel.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the privacy or data protection regulator with authority in your location, where applicable.
